Alot of fans knew who he was as soon as he touched the field. He was ambushed by kids who wanted their baseball signed by the welterweight champion and also was greeted by the coach of the Cyclones Rich Donnelly and had a nice heart to heart about his past victory and current endeavors. Sandy the seagul mascot even went a quick few rounds with Paulie before his trip to the mound.
As they announced Paulie to come out to throw the stadium erupted before he even stepped out there. Paulie throws a neck high fastball then cheers on the crowd as he walked back to the dug out area. He took a few photos, signed a few autographs, did some small interviews and relaxed and enjoyed the game with friends Elvis Duran & the Morning Show radio personality, Skeery Jones and David Brody of Z100, and others.
If anyone is Brooklyn it's def Paulie. The most humble guy you will come across. Stops whatever he is doing and talks to his fans no matter what. You won't find that quality in a lot of athletes now a days. Paulie also donated close to 300 of his personal Future Legend shirts to the troops in Kuwait and continues to give back every chance he gets.
Look for Paulie Malignaggi on October 20, 2012 at the brand new Barclay Center in Brooklyn for his fight back home in his own backyard. Currently there hasn't been an opponent chosen yet but you can stay tune to all this info by following Paulie on Twitter @PaulMalignaggi, FaceBook: Future Legend and also the website FutureLegend.com in which he is not only a sponsor but a partner as well.
Grab some of Paulies favorite gear and watch what we do next. Thanks in advance.
