Carousel Collision Home Of The Underground Clown & Future Legend Enters 4th Annual Soapbox Derby Race in Coney Island For A Good Cause.

Carousel Collision home of the The Underground Clown and Future Legend enters 4th annual Soapbox Derby race in Coney Island for a good cause. The car was sponsored by the Coney Island Youth Alive organization which is run by Sheila Smalls head of the group.  Carousel Collision made a car for the derby in remembrance of a friend Cory Pelzer who was murdered 11yrs ago in a senseless act of violence. To this day his murder remains unsolved and the killer is still at large.

The hard working crew of the Carousel Collision constructed a soapbox derby car that turned heads once it arrived at the race venue. City Council Man Domenic Recchia and State Senator Diane J. Savino took a liking to the car and the message behind it.

The mother of Cory, Cherry Pelzer was on hand to watch the races and the car that was made in honor of her son as it raced down the hill and everyone shared their condolences and came over to say a  kind word about her son who grew up in the neighborhood and was loved by many.

The whole day was spent with all the kids racing the cars and learning about team work and helping one another. The Police Dept, Ringling Brothers, Girl Scouts, Fire Dept, City Council Man Domenic Recchia and  State Senator Diane J. Savino all had team cars. There was even a car dedicated to a soldier who died last week in Afghanistan who was suppose to be at the race but instead they raced his car to the finish a line by itself in his honor.  The Carousel Collision car won for speed but of course everyone was a winner today and everyone had fun and brought a community together for good causes.

Please take a moment to go to the site listed below and leave a donation for Cory Pelzer that will be made to different charities in his name. There is no denomination to small. Thanks in advance.

Bellator 73 Fighting Championships Summer Series Ends With A Bang In Tunica Mississippi

The Bellator Fighting Championships Summer series comes to an end in Tunica Mississippi which was held in the Harrah's resort. Bellator 73 showcased 3 sponsored fighters in Ryan Martinez, Marcos Galvoa, and Travis Wiuff.

Ryan Martinez was the first fight of the night on the main card and also his debut on Bellator wearing the new Future Legend verbiage shirt "Haters Fuel Me". Ryan looked good against Mike Wessel both trading huge shots back and forth but couldn't close out the fight the way he wanted to and lost the fight by split decision  (29-28, 30-27, 29-28) Ryan will be back next season ready to get back in the ring to do damage.

Marcos "Loro" Galvoa was up next in the bantamweight tournament Championship vs Luis Nogueira which started off with both fighters letting the punches fly which resulted in Marcos landing some head shots that stunned Nogueira that led to a TKO. The victory puts Galvao in a title fight against Bellator bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas.

Travis "Diesel" Wiuff who was the light heavy weight favorite for the Bellator tournament was stopped short in the first round by Atilla Vegh with a KO. We will see Travis back in the Fall tournament better than ever continuing his road to the belt.
